AI Istanbul Research Group is an independent computational laboratory founded in 2024 by Ozge A. Cavus, connecting in silico discovery with biological and clinical validation. We develop mechanistic AI architectures for drug discovery, computational toxicology, and precision oncology — specializing in graph neural networks and the mechanistic modeling of rare diseases.
Since our first publications and conference presentations at ESHG and ESMO in 2025, we have established a scientific collaboration with Prof. Ayşegül Kuşkucu, a faculty member of Yeditepe University's Department of Medical Genetics, and released open-source tools such as msep and VUS Lens — making our methods directly available to other researchers.
Focus: AI in Drug Discovery. Conducts research on Safe-by-Design AI architectures and precision oncology.
